Guihulngan Kabilin Choir was formerly the Central Visayas Polytechnic College (CVPC) Chorale. It became NORSU Guihulngan Kabilin Choir when CVPC was converted into a university known today as Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) on June of 2004. The word "Kabilin" in the choir's name is an acronym of the university's corporate values. "Kabilin" is a Cebuano word which means "legacy" in the English language.
NORSU Guihulngan Kabilin Choir or simply known as Guihulngan Kabilin Choir, has provided and continues to render some beautiful songs to the university in all of the academe's various programs and important functions. The choir's service, however, is not exclusive to NORSU. It has been invited to perform on various accasions outside of the university in different places of the province.
